I’m quite new to all of this but I’m looking for my SSH name because I’ve managed to forget it. I’ve written down my password, but stupidly didn’t think to do that with the name. Am I out of luck or where can I go about finding it?

Hi @wcopus, thanks for the question! If you have a password written down, it is most likely for the user “root”. You can attempt to login using root and the password you have. If you’re not able to gain access, go ahead and reset the root password: https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/resources/reset-root-password/

You can SSH to your droplet using the droplet’s IP address. You can also find the droplet name and IP address in your DigitalOcean account.
