Question

How to know managed postgres backups location ?

Hi,

I am relying on Digital Ocean managed Postgres database for my company.

My database is hosted in Frankfurt. I activated automatic backups for my database. Is there a way to know where the backups are located (London, Amsterdam ?).

Thanks,

Hi @adrilef,

Backups and snapshots are initially stored on a NAS device in the same data center as the droplet. This is physically separate from the hypervisor that the droplet is running on. It is then encrypted and copied up to Amazon Glacier in order to be backed up off-premise.
