We are in the process of migrating a Managed MySQL 8 database hosted in an agency DigitalOcean cluster into our own DigitalOcean account.
I have read the documentation and can’t seem to find the preferred process for this type of migration.
Ideally, there would be a way to simply transfer ownership of the database.
Failing that, we would like to set up the managed database in our account to run in parallel to the agency version of the database in order to eliminate downtime when the website configuration is swapped.
Is there a preferred approach?
I see the “Move To” option in this tutorial: https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/databases/mysql/how-to/restore-from-backups/ I am not able to test the migration from the perspective of the agency account and so could use some guidance.
Thank you for any guidance you can provide!
