How to move Domain to a managed server?

Hi,nice to answer.According to your description,you have changed you server but you don’t modify the domain record to let it point to the new server.That’s easy,just ask your new server’s provider for the IP address,or most you can see ip in the console.Write it down and go to your DNS panel,just modify the old one to the new one.

Could you please let me know if you want to migrate the content of your site to another provider as well or you’re going to build a new website with the new provider?

If you’re going to build a new website you just need to adjust the DNS for the domain name. This is usually done by changing the nameservers for the domain name or only pointing the A record to the IP address of the new server. Your new host will give you more details about the DNS changes you need to make.

If you need to migrate your website’s files and database as well you can ask your new host if they have migration service and if they can handle the process for you. If not then you will need to take a backup of your files and database and copy/import them on the new server/host.
