I’ve opted for the managed hosting from Cloudways. Can’t seem to find where Digital Ocean lets you update the DNS record. Can someone point me in the right direction?

There are a couple of things that you need to do:

Add your Domain name to your DigitalOcean account as described here in the docs: https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/networking/dns/how-to/add-domains/

Change your name servers to the DigitalOcean ones so that you could manage your DNS zone via DigitalOcean: https://docs.digitalocean.com/tutorials/dns-registrars/

If you’ve already done 1 and 2, then you can straight go to adding your record by following the steps here: https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/networking/dns/how-to/manage-records/

Basically, you need to add your Domain to your DigitalOcean’s account and change the Nameservers of your domain from your Cloudways accout.
After that you can just manage your DNS from your control Panel with DigitalOcean. You can find more information plus pictures here:

All you need to do is to add the domain name to your DigitalOcean account and then update the nameservers for your domain name to
ns1.digitalocean.com
ns2.digitalocean.com
ns3.digitalocean.com
