if you added a script in the user-data, every time you rebuild the droplet even from a new image, it will run.
how to remove that script and rebuild the droplet with a clean image only without any scripts?

Unfortunately it is not possible to remove the user-data script of an existing droplet. If you do not have any important data on your droplet, you can just destroy it and create a new droplet.

There should be a way to edit the user data after a droplet has been created. For example when a rebuild is started, this could be very useful. That way at least we know the ip address and don’t have to edit any DNS stuff.
