Question

How to speed delivery of high-res image collection to website

I have 2076 images in D.O. Spaces, 1020 of which are 4K, 2160x2160 pixels. On my website I have a Virtual-Reality object that uses .js files to display these as a sphere users manipulate with drag and zoom. Delivery to the site is slow. Do I need to link the use of a droplet? Is there a tutorial or guide? Thank you!

Hello, @lwaynebuinis

What you can try is to reduce the size of the images (without significantly compromising the quality of the images).

Also, you can enable CDN for Spaces. The free, built-in Spaces CDN minimizes page load times, improves performance, and reduces bandwidth and infrastructure costs.

Another trick will be to is to enable browser caching for your site. This will help the loading speed since the images will be stored locally, instead of downloading the files every single time.

Hope that this helps! Regards, Alex
