How To Use Block Storage on DigitalOcean on Vesta Control

Posted on April 30, 2017

I installed 1 GB of memory / 30 GB disk + 200 GB / FRA1 - CentOS 7.3.1611 x64 with vesta driver

The default domain of the vesta is: name.com

After uploading the data to /home/admin/web/name.com/public_html, vps reports the amount of space to upload.

But I bought an extra 200 GB

I was searching for the article in google seach and i was reading and i followed but could not make it up to 230GB

The 230GB block is not in the directory: /home/admin/web/name.com/public_html

Now I need your help

How do I upload 230GB to /home/admin/web/name.com/public_html with vest control

Please show me how to install it

Hi @batdongsankim

It’s not as easy as a couple of clicks, since block storage gives you a lot of flexibility.

You will not be able to get 230GB, but your server can use the 30GB and then you can attach/mount the 200GB for your WordPress files.

There is a tutorial to getting started with block storage: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-partition-and-format-digitalocean-block-storage-volumes-in-linux
