Hi there,
Before changing the WordPress URL from HTTP to HTTPS you need to install an SSL certificate.
Depending on wether you are using Apache or Nginx you can follow the steps on how to obtain a free Let’s Encrypt certificate using cerbot here:

Once you’ve installed the SSL, you will be able to access your website via HTTPS.

You need to install an SSL certificate and then depending on what you are using either Nginx or Apache2 enable it to listen on port 443. The best and easiest way is to use certbot. It will install a Let’s Encrypt certificate and automatically configure your WebSerivce(Nginx or Apache2).
