In order to enable HTTPS or as a who a Let’s Encrypt certificate on your Droplet, you’ll need to have a WebService. WebServices are services on your Droplet which help you serve your website to the whole world via a browser. To check which WebService you are using, SSH to your droplet and type in the following
netstat -tulpen | grep 80
If you see Nginx in the output, then I’ll suggest you to follow this article in order to secure your website/application with https :
If you see Apache in the output rather than Nginx, then follow this tutorial :
