I add a domain to my droplet but it does not become active. Is it because of a 60-day transfer period? The domain is bought 20 days ago with hosting activated.

The 60-day transfer period should not affect this. You need to make sure that your DNS A record is pointing to your droplet’s IP and also note that it could take between 1 and 72 hours for the DNS cache to clear over the Globe after each DNS change.
