I couldn’t find anything on control panel in digital ocean. Should i buy an external control panel?

DO provides VPS, which is basically bare bone computer…
DO panel gives options for OS and such… Once installed, you can operate your server via terminal / SSH login… Like Putty for Windows…
Now its upto you as how you want to use the server… Do you wish you host website ?? Like WordPress or something else, yes then a web panel may be required unless you install the needed backend, like PHP, Apache, FTP, MySQL and such you own or via one click DO…
So it depends on your usage as how you want to use this VPS :)
