  • if you've added a domain name in the "web". ?
it's like adding virtual hosts to hosting you.
I think if you're just pointing Droplet IP domain registar to you, it usually works immediately.

If I understand correctly you have:

1.) Added a domain to your droplet via Vesta.
2.) Pointed your domain name to the DigitalOcean nameservers.

When using the DigitalOcean nameservers rather than pointing new nameserver registrations to your droplet's DNS service you must manually configure your DNS records. This guide will walk you through properly pointing your domain.

This article walks you through setting up the DNS for your site. The tutorial includes steps to set up an A records, point your nameservers, and provides some information about MX records.
  • When i try to access the digital ocean control panel it is stuck on "Update Billing". Does that mean that i am accessing with wrong id or what? I have full credential for VPS which my friend gave me and he also gave me email and password for digital ocean's when i asked him but it is stuck on billing. i dont understand .

    • This happens when there is no valid method of payment on an account. All active accounts must either have at least one paypal payment made or a valid credit card associated. You can reach out to our support team for additional assistance with this by emailing contact@digitalocean

      • If there is no valid method of payment on an account then does that mean that no droplet was ever bought from that account previously or method of payment was added previously?

        • It is possible that there was a credit card but it was removed. As the 1st of the month is the day that billing is processed this could result in a billing hold. I cannot say for sure. You need to reach out to the support team who can help you resolve this.
