I have some questions, i will list them inside

  • Posted October 28, 2013

I used hostgator for the hosting but since had some problems with them i decided to try a ubuntu 12.04 vps with 1gb and 1 cpu. Right now i want to install a script for a domain i own. The requisites for the script are as follows:

Linux Server Apache or nginx Web Server MySQL (version 4 +) PHP 5.2.x Zend Optimizer 3.3 or higher GD2 Library or higher Apache mod_rewrite Enabled PHP5 - curl Enabled Zlib extension Register globals OFF Enabled PHP functions - fopen, fclose, fwrite

What should i do so that the vps that i have meets these requirements. I already installed lamp.

My second question is: How do i host more than 1 website? Actually i want to host at least 3 websites. Only one is a script the others will be wordpress based websites.

Thank you

Doesn’t your script automatically install any needed dependencies? To get a list of all the currently installed packages on your server, execute: <code>sudo dpkg –get-selections</code>. However, the full list can be long and unwieldy.

Thank you very much. Very kind of you. As for the requirements for the script i will be using is there a way to see what i already havem and what i need to install configure?
