All I did was send a new password to my email. My website has not come back online since. I turned the server off and on, I reissued a new password again while it was off and nothing works.

Hi @rubyshoes,
Hitting the reset password button for your droplet will send out a message to our e-mail account providing you with a new ROOT password.
If you haven’t received the message instantly, try to check your SPAM or Junk folder. Additionally, you might need to wait a couple of minutes to receive the message.
Once you receive it, you’ll need to use your Droplet’s Console and type in the password there if you haven’t allowed PasswordAuthentication on your droplet already.
Here is the DigitalOcean documentation with some screenshots of the buttons:

Hello, @rubyshoes
Have you checked your email address? Sometimes it might need some extra time for the email to be delivered, also make sure to check your SPAM/Junk folders as well.
I will recommend you to check these two articles:

https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/droplets/resources/console/
If you’re still unable to access your droplet feel free to get in touch with our amazing support team. They will be more than happy to assist you as well!
Hope that this helps! Regards, Alex
