If you get “500 Internal Server Error”, there should be more information in puma/mastodon-web's logs or journalctl -u mastodon-web, depending on the installation.
Check those logs and you should be able to see the exact error. Additionally, you can try check the following Docs on how to further troubleshoot such issues:

If you get the exact 500 error, you can further troubleshoot your problem as you’ll have a more concrete reason as to why this is happening.
