I’m a brand new customer to DigitalOcean, but I’ve had dedi and VPS servers since forever. I see that the way things work around DO are slightly different (particularly when it comes to droplets), so I’m slightly confused.
I’ve created a new Droplet with 1 GB of RAM, put Ubuntu 14.04 and installed Django on it. Simple enough, and it works. However, how do I install e.g. redmine on the same droplet? Do I just do it through the SSH (“the regular way”)? I can’t find an option to install another application on the same server. In other words, I would like to host multiple applications on the same droplet - is this possible?
Is there an idea to create a new droplet for every application you want to install? I assume not, since that would be just silly, but it seems that all tutorials are centered around that.
Am I charged per hour? In other words, if I destroy my droplet after 3 hours of use, will I be charged the full $10 a month, or just for those 3 hours?
Thanks! Bo

That’s definitely possible. You would do it the same way you would on a regular server/VPS.

Almost all of the tutorials walk you through setting up things on fresh new droplets, but they will most likely work just fine on existing droplets.

You will be charged just for those 3 hours as long as the droplet is destroyed after 3 hours (not powered off).
