Question

I've made it past the gates, now how do I go further? (Installing a typescript discord bot on DO)

Ok. After much flumoxxing about, I have managed to use ssh to connect with and set up my server/droplet. Now the next step is installing and running the bot. Once again I find myself at a bit of a loss.

I was able to do this on Heroku using two protocols, the Heroku one and Git. However Heroku was unsatisfactory, but it was relatively easy. Heroku has special fields for things such as “Discord Token.” Where does one put these in DO?

I am looking at this tutorial.

https://www.writebots.com/discord-bot-hosting/ But I’m not sure how it applies.

The Bot is written in Typescript I believe.

I’m sorry I do not know more. All I’m really asking for is for someone to point me to a tutorial or set of instructions I can follow, if there are any. Thank you in advance.

Humble, IBP

Figured it out! Thanks internet! And thanks to the bot’s real creator, Felix Rilling.
