I just signed up for Digital Ocean and was instantly charged $10.80. I did not create any servers. Why am I being charged?

Hi there,
That $10.80 is likely a temporary authorization hold used to verify your payment method.
It’s not an actual charge and should disappear or be refunded automatically within a few business days.
Heya, @grs5003
Note that when you add a card, we may send a temporary pre-authorization request to the issuing bank. This pre-authorization charge is immediately released by DigitalOcean but may take a few days to clear from your card depending on the bank.
