Installing Plesk for reseller hosting

Posted on August 28, 2014

Hello, I am a web designer quite new to the hosting field, but I am eager to learn! I would like to use the Plesk control panel. I have been looking at DigitalOcean, and wondering if there is any way to install Plesk on this platform so I could have my own reseller hosting. I’ll be honest, I’m not a developer, and the Linux command line is somewhat foreign to me. I see that GoDaddy has a reseller hosting plan, but I would like to stay away from them and operate a little more on my own, but I’m feeling a little confused. I would appreciate some thoughts, ideas, advice, assistance, even a point in the right direction. Thanks so much!

Even though this is a pretty old post, as many others I found it trough Google (not searching for this information but oh well…). Anyway - to run solid hosting with a nice panel on DO’s platform, look into http://centos-webpanel.com/ use a new, fresh, bare bone installation with CentOS 6 or 7 (7 is a little more difficult and requires more cpu and memory) and install it. Done. It comes with everything you need. On a VPS with low memory and cpu don’t use or install ClamAV.

Hi,

You need WHM/cPanel…

Get a license from them and get it installed under your own VPS here…

Things will bcome really simple afterwords…

Thanks…
