Is cryptocoin mining allowed ?

Posted on July 20, 2014

Well digitalocean service is like a treasure I already setted couple of droplets for my friends.

But, I wonder am I allowed to load my droplet cpus 100% ? (for mining)

I want to try some digital coin mining, I read somewhere here that it is not allowed but if I am purchasing a service is not it confusing that I cant fully use my service ?

Also there are couple of blog posts over the internet explaining how to use digitalocean for mining it means people are using it kind of.

I really appreacate digitalocean as it is cheapest yet virtual server hosting and I am totally having fun when configuring droplets.

Can anyone help me set up a bytecoin, aeon and riecoin mining on digitalocean?

You’re a few years too late, CPU mining is useless now its all ASIC’s and GPU’s don’t waste your time. Also yes you pay for X account cores you can do what you like with them.

Someone else asked this question a while back. The answer seemed to indicate that it would still cost you more than you would stand to make.
