I’ve spun up a droplet with Ubuntu and wanted to change the shell to zsh, but it asks for the root password. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but I assigned the droplet my ssh key so that I wouldn’t get emailed a password. Is it possible to use chsh without having to go through the process of resetting/setting the root password for the droplet?
Alternatively, is there some way to set the password without having it sent in plaintext to my email address?
