Is it possible to disable direct access to Floating IPs from http ?

Posted on November 12, 2015

I can do this with the droplet’s IP using an Apache a virtual host config like such :

<VirtualHost 104.131.44.51:80> ServerName 104.131.44.51 Redirect 403 / ErrorDocument 403 “Sorry, direct IP access not allowed.”
etc… </VirtualHost>

However, when I use the same strategy for the floating IP, I can still access the web server using the floating IP. I would like to disable direct access by IP over HTTP (floating and direct droplet) to my server. Not sure how to do this.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks
