I’m playing around with Cassandra and want to determine if the advice here is good? The RackInferringSnitch says they expect an IP to correspond to this: x.DATACENTER.x.x x.x.RACK.x x.x.x.NODE They don’t make any claims for whether that’s true on DigitalOcean. :-) For that matter, I can’t figure out how to create droplets in different racks . Hey there,

The IP address has nothing to do with the physical location of a Droplet. A user’s Droplets are automatically provisioned across multiple hypervisors. This API call is way to query if any of your Droplets are on the same hypervisor.
