Is there a way to add an IPv6 address to an already running droplet?

Posted on October 1, 2014

I have a long-running droplet that I don’t want to stop, but I’d like to give it IPv6 connectivity.

Is there any method of doing this on a live Droplet?

Yes, you can enable IPv6 on your droplet without rebooting it as long as it’s in a datacenter with IPv6 connectivity. See Enabling IPv6 on an Existing Droplet | How To Enable IPv6 for DigitalOcean Droplets | DigitalOcean
