Issues with processors maxing out and page isnt working errors in chrome

Posted on January 31, 2020

I have a 4GB 2 CPU droplet that has both MySQL and Wordpress/Woocommerce installed which seems to work fine as an eCommerce platform. However, when ever I try to edit multiple products using various plugins it tends to max out on the processors but not Ram. I get an error in chrome that the page isnt working?I have wordpress set to 1.5GB ram and the same in PHP.ini

I was thinking of moving the DB to a separate droplet or DB cluster but have noticed that the DB clusters are $15 a month for the smallest and the droplets are $5 a month for the smallest. What is the difference? Why cant i just install mysql on a new cheap droplet and point wordpress at it? Why would the MYSQL cluster cost more?

Any ideas what I can do about processors maxing out? And the dreaded “page not working” issue.

What is the best Wordpress/woocommerce settings in php.ini and wordpress.config file/mysql settings?

Thanks
