The ubuntu (20.0.4.2) command lastlog shows root has logged in two weeks ago. The passwd command shows root as locked as does getent root. /etc/ssh/sshd_config has “PermitRootLogin no” and “PasswordAuthentication no”
Should the logins reported by lastlog be a concern? They are from an ip address that cannot be identified by dig. Are the logins related to maintenance of the VM?
