I’m currently taking an MCSE class and feel access to a VM would cement what I learn in the classroom.
If I buy a used server, I’d be looking at $200+ electricity costs to run and space. (still with mom and contributing, but don’t want to spin the meter…)
If I ran a droplet , could i run my copy of windows server 2012 on the droplet and access the GUI? would I have to virtual box this for ubuntu? This seems like a good alternative as there’s only 9 more weeks to the class vs having to have the server until I can resell it .
I get the impression that I’m thinking of doing too much with this and it seems like it’s more geared towards websites and fileshares. But it does’nt hurt to ask!
