Limitation of subdomains, dependent on registrar or Digital Ocean?

Posted on April 29, 2014

Hi,

I would like to move the hosting of my website from my current hosting provider to the VPS I have bought with Digital Ocean.

I would like to know whether the limitation of subdomains (sub1.example.com, sub2.example.com etc.) will be dependent on the registrar or whether I will have unlimited subdomains when I will be hosting with Digital Ocean.

The reason I ask, is because at the moment I have a limitation of 90 subdomains (registrar + hosting provider is the same company). Will this change when I will move my hosting to my own VPS?
