Hello. My name is Kellee and I am a tad confused… For 17 years now I have been a freelance web/graphic designer. I recently have found TikiWiki, BigBlueButton, and fell in #LOVE! I plan a large community environment and *what I have read * so far has said to get a VPS with 2 cores for “Load Balancing”. I just got an email, and see on the site, that you are charging $20/month for “Load Balancing” the resources on our servers.
What?
That’s why I bought a VPS plan with 2 cores specifically for the “Load Balancing”.
What am I missing? Thank you, Kellee

Load Balancing is the act of distributing traffic across multiple servers. A single VPS wouldn’t be capable of functioning as a load balancer if it’s the only VPS in the configuration.
Ideally, for Load Balancing to work as intended, you need at least 3x VPS’s. The first VPS would function as a Load Balancer, which would distribute traffic to the two web servers; though it gets a little more complex than that – how depends on what you’re looking to achieve.
CPU Cores have nothing to do with load balancing as it’s described above. There’s something called CPU Pinning, where you pin certain processes on specific CPU Cores, though that’s more or less out of scope for what’s described above and out of scope for most applications.
