Hi,
I’ve got a LAMP stack server set up and decided to use SFTP (using Filezilla) to try install PHPMyAdmin. I downloaded the zip, renamed the config-file and transferred the folder to /var/www/ on my server. I then went to mydomain.com/phpmyadmin and I get prompted with a login screen, just as expected.
But where do I find my username and password to log in here? How to find and change them? Please tell me there’s a way without working with Linux commands through the command line? Does PHPMyAdmin install with a standard login, or what?
Thanks in advance,

Worked like a charm, I’ll dive right into changing the password and set some new users up. <br> <br>Thanks Kamal. <br> <br>- W

The default password for the MySQL root account is <strong>password</strong>. You should change that password as soon as possible (preferably to a long random string). <br> <br>Check out <a href=“https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-create-a-new-user-and-grant-permissions-in-mysql”>https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-create-a-new-user-and-grant-permissions-in-mysql</a>.
