I wanted to host my wordpress sites at Digital Ocean. The only thing I’m hating is that wordpress at Digital Ocean generates low quality thumbnails.
Please check the quality of both images. Image link Every thumbnail my Digital Ocean wordpress generated was low in quality.
Both are tested at fresh wordpress installations at DG and HG hosting. The quality if DG wordpress generated thumb is very poor, You can see the horizontal lines. I even tried fresh droplets but got same poor result. I used same theme with same default settings to run this test.
For now I’m back to my older server :(

It looks like a graphics library issue rather than a Digital Ocean one. No need to dump the fine DO fellows, just tweaking the graphics library to generate better thumbs.
