What is the reason for this report?

mod_rewrite issue and unable to restart apache.

My site is running here http://46.101.253.161/ . this is in prestashop. In admin it asking for enable the mod_rewrite . But when i check on SSH(putty) through command it says already enabled. And also I’m unable to restart the Apache. When i tried to restart following error occur:

sudo service apache2 restart
 * Restarting web server apache2
(98)Address already in use: AH00072: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80
(98)Address already in use: AH00072: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
AH00015: Unable to open logs
Action 'start' failed.
The Apache error log may have more information.

It looks like Nginx is running on your droplet listening to port 80, so Apache can’t use it while Nginx is using it.

Your website is loading fine so I’m assuming that you want to use Nginx not Apache. mod_rewrite is an Apache module, so if you want to set up ‘clean URLs’ in Prestashop, you will need to configure Nginx manually. Edit your server block config in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled and add the following block:

If you already have a location / {} block, you can delete it. Finally, restart Nginx so that the changes take effect:

sudo service nginx restart
