My emails go to spam!

Posted on December 19, 2013

So I got my VPS on digital ocean a few days back. Installed zpanel on it. Haven’t setup any mx records. Do I need to install mail server also if I installed zpanel already? Plus should I make any changes in the zpanel config file?

Hey! Thanks! When I run DNS health. It shows me reverse DNS not set up also shows some error with SOA! How do I solve that?

zPanel does install a mail server, otherwise you won’t be able to send mail ;)

Make sure your droplet’s hostname is a FQDN which points to the droplet (e.g. yourdomain.com as long as yourdomain.com points to your droplet’s IP address).

Check out https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-use-an-spf-record-to-prevent-spoofing-improve-e-mail-reliability too.
