It is normal that your SSH session would freeze after a reboot, if you are using Putty you need to close the old session, wait a minute or two for the droplet to boot again and then SSH again.
If the droplet does not boot in 5-10 minutes, then I would suggest accessing the droplet via the console and check if there are any errors there.
