You may want to look at our phpmyadmin or LAMP One-clip apps deployments. You’ll have an out of the box web environment with MySQL pre-installed.
FTP itself would not be pre-installed and frankly, wouldn’t necessarily be recommended. FTP is a less secure method for transferring files. Without any additional configuration or installing additional software, your designer can use SFTP to securely upload files.
