I have Nextcloud 15.0.10 installed on Ubuntu 18.04 as a snapp app. I would like to add a volume or a space from Digital Ocean as an external storage. I installed the external storage app in Nextcloud.
For the volume, I tried to enter it as “local” with the correct mount point. When I ssh into the server, I can write on the volume, but in Nextcloud, I get the green bubble, I see the folder in the NC user interface, but I cannot write on it.
For spaces, I tried this: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/is-it-possible-to-mount-do-spaces-as-external-storage-in-nextcloud-as-i-mount-aws-s3-storage However, I didn’t succeed in establishing a connection here.
Can anyone help?

I think that it is a matter of permissions, you need to make sure that the user which your Nextcloud is running with has write permissions to the folder. Also you need to make sure that you’ve mounted the block storage with read and write permissions.
Hey there,
As per the previous reply, this is most likely due to the set permissions. I’ve just installed NextCloud and managed to use a space object for additional storage as well. Everything seems to be working just fine.
If you’re having any issues when following the steps mentioned here:
just let me know and also provide any error messages (if there are such) and we can check this further.
