Not Able To Connect To The Internet

Posted on April 21, 2021

Hello everyone. I have been facing an unusual problem for a few days. I don’t know why my Windows 7 PC isn’t connecting to the home network. All other appliances are working fine. It is showing ‘Connected But No Internet’. Can anyone guide me to solve this problem? Any kind of feedback would be highly appreciated.

Hi @soledadward,

Windows 7 comes with a built-in troubleshooter that you can use to repair a broken network connection.

  1. Choose Start→Control Panel→Network and Internet. Then click the Network and Sharing Center link.

  2. Click the Fix a Network Problem link.

  3. Click the link for the type of network connection that has been lost. There are several different troubleshooters available but you can select : Internet Connections: When you can’t connect to the Internet or to a particular Web site

Please try any of the above to see if any information can be found for your problem.

Hello, @soledadward

You can also try to reboot the device and try to connect it via a LAN cable and test if it can connect to the Internet so you can see if the issue is only on Wi-Fi. There might be an issue only with Wi-Fi so testing with a wired connection can really help to find the culprit of the problem.

Also, test the connection using the troubleshooter which KFSys mentioned.

Regards, Alex
