NPN enabled openssl not working

Trying to set up spdy on an Nginx web server, on Ubuntu 12.04 and the only blocker is that the NPN handshake isn’t taking place, despite all the requirements being fulfilled.

More details via this question but basically openssl and nginx have the right modules and versions to run spdy, it’s only NPN that’s not working, verified by testing via SSL Labs, spdycheck.org and the testssl.sh script.

So what am I missing here? Any ideas?

UPDATE:

Fixed / resolved / working - rebooting the server fixed it. Restarting each service individually didn’t work. I might have missed one, despite restarting mysql, ssh, nginx etc. etc.

Now HSTS etc. all working too. No idea why they wouldn’t work previously.
