nstalled Vesta and it ruined everything

Posted on June 13, 2015

So I installed Vesta, which of course broke everything. I had 4 sites and all 4 just disappeared.

After a bit I figured out that Vesta changes the root folder for all of my domains. I went ahead and reuploaded my sites to the new root folders.

Most of them now work, which is great.

Except for my Wordpress one.

So I moved my wordpress site from /var/www to /home/admin/web/torontoboozehound.com/public_html and when I load the readme.html it loads fine, but nothing else does. None of the php loads. when I try to load index.php it 404’s but readme.html loads fine.

I go into Vesta and try to create a new data base and it says ‘connection to localhost failed’

so what do I need to fix to get my site back up and running?

I have the mysql database from my old folder as a .sql file in the folder but the vesta main screen does NOT have it.

I might be looking at things completely wrong.

I know this isn’t what you guys are supposed to help with, but I could REALLY use the help.
