Hi there,
I’m about to create my first droplet and am based in New Zealand. I’ve just been checking the speed test and ping for Singapore and San Fran, and seem to be getting better performance and latency from San Francisco. I would have thought it would be better for Singapore.
Has anyone else from NZ had any experience with this? The performance difference isn’t really a big deal (150ms vs 170ms latency, and dl dif of about .5Mbps).
My main question is really is the performance difference because Singapore is new and just being set up, or I am simply going to get better numbers from San Fran?

I’d suggest checking the latency again and if there’s not much of a difference, I would go with SGP.
