That $5 charge is likely a temporary authorization hold to verify your payment method. It should drop off your statement or be refunded shortly. If it doesn’t, definitely reach out to support so they can check it for you: https://do.co/support

That should be a temporal check to see if you have provided a valid payment method. They should be returned however, if that is not the case, it’s best to contact DigitalOcean’s support at

They can best help with billing issues as we in the community don’t have access to that information.
