My droplet’s php was uploading images fine while running php5, but after upgrading to php5.6 all websites on my ubuntu droplet are no longer uploading images I keep getting this error PHP Warning: File upload error - unable to create a temporary file in Unknown on line 0, What could be the problem and how can i fix it ?

Without seeing your code there is not a lot I can do. Changes between PHP versions can break code using older standards and system functions. Check the functions you are using agains the PHP website documentation and they will say what parameters are required or if it was removed in PHP5.6 for a new function.
