We run hardware RAID and have a mix of different RAID configurations and harddrives because we are always reviewing system performance to ensure stability across the cloud. <br> <br>Regardless of which provider you go with if you are running a DB you should always have backups, not just of your server but depending on the sensitivity of your data you may want to look into creating a slave DB that replicates live from the master as another backup measure.
