I have two MySQL databases: one master server and one read-only replica. Yesterday, for some reason, the replica stopped synchronizing with the master for a short period, which caused failures in my system. I would like to understand what might have caused this disruption in data replication between the two servers.

Hi there,
Was this on a DigitalOcean Managed Database or are you running MySQL replication manually on your own Droplets?
If it’s a managed service, I’d suggest reaching out to the DigitalOcean Support, they can pull logs and check for any internal issues.
If it’s self-managed, you’ll want to check for network interruptions, replication lag (SHOW SLAVE STATUS
), and make sure you have proper retry
and auto-reconnect
settings in place.
