Question

Reset my droplet, how do I reinstall ghost without making a new droplet?

Hey everyone, I recently rebuilt my droplet because I needed to start my blog over, but wanted to keep the IP address the same for convenience. When I rebuilt/reset the droplet, it erased the pre-installed Ghost client. How do I reinstall Ghost on my server without creating a new droplet?

Hi there,

What you could do is follow the steps from here and install a new Ghost instance on your existing Droplet:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-and-configure-ghost-on-ubuntu-16-04

That way you will not have to create a new Droplet from scratch.

You can also skip step 1 as the Ghost CLI should already be in place.

Hope that this helps!

Best,

Bobby
