Server Reject with Ubiquiti Cloud Controller on Ubuntu

Posted on October 13, 2015

Hey guys,

I’m trying to configure the Ubiquiti cloud controller on here. I have opened up the proper ports and have access to my controller via https://cloud-ip:8443. I also opened up ports 8080 as well.

Problem is, running the command "set-inform http://cloud-ip:8080/inform returns the result “Server Rejected”. I can ping the cloud controller from the UAP. I cant figure out what is blocking it. I checked my sonicwall and it looks like it’s forwarding my requests out.

Someone help please!

Hello,

Have you tried reaching that url with a curl or other request? Something such as

curl http://cloud-ip:8080/inform

Have you confirmed that the application is listening on the proper port? You can check running services with netstat

netstat -plnt

You will get a list of services running and what port. You want to find it on the Local Address and ensure it has your public IP listed or 0.0.0.0 and then the port. So something like this:

0.0.0.0:8080

If you Don’t see it there, then the issue is the service not configured. If you see something like 127.0.0.1:8080 that means it’s listening on the local host only.
