Serverpilot Server files not updating.

I have a serverpilot setup server for a website, i edit an html file, but the changes do not show up when accessing the site. I have cleared browser cache, i downloaded the file to check that it is different, it is, but the server is not outputting the recent file. This has never happened to me, Im assuming the server is caching it somehow? Any light that could be shed is appreciated.

ServerPilot does not configure any server-side caching. See here for more details on caching:

Some possible explanations of what you’re seeing include:

  1. You have DNS pointed to an old server still so you’re seeing what’s on the old server.
  2. You recently made DNS changes and there’s DNS caching pointing you to an old server still.
  3. You’ve accidentally added the same domain name to multiple apps on the server so you’re seeing files on the wrong app.

If you continue to have problems, open a ticket with ServerPilot and provide them as much detail as you can. They likely will be able to see what’s going on.

It sounds like a web server caching layer to me as well. I would recommend restarting the various services. I found this on their website and it should be up to date:
