Set up cron job Ubuntu Nginx server

Posted on September 14, 2014

I have set up an Ubuntu 12.04 Nginx VPS to host Prosper202 tracking software. Cron is installed and I want to set up a cron job to run a .php script every 24 hours at 4am. The script is located at /var/www/mydomain.com What commands do I need to set this up? Thanks in advance.

This is how I do it on Debian, and it’s probably the same on Ubuntu. First execute the command crontab -e and add the following at the end of the file and how to call the script

  • 4 * * * * command to execute path script

Hi,

you should run this command:

sudo crontab -e

and then add this line to the end of file:

0 4 * * * /usr/bin/php /var/www/mydomain.com/myscript.php
