Single standalone email server

Could you suggest us an single stand alone email server droplet setup?

We found several solution such as Iredmail or Postfix. The first seems easy to use but with no anti-spam options other than the buit-in, i.e. no service or plug-in found to buy as an out-of-the-box solution such as magic-spam. The second has anti-spam solutions but it requires much more IT skills and effort which is not available for the time being.

We would like one server with 20 to 50 low bandwidth accounts email with an Anti-Spam add on plug-in service.

Any Suggestions?

Or even better any ready droplet to start it immediately?

Best Regards,

Dimitrios

Hi @dpritsos,

I know you mentioned Postfix and that it can be hard to configure, however DigitalOcean have a really good article about configuring the service - https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-and-configure-postfix-on-ubuntu-18-04 . The tutorial will walk you through the process of setting up and configuring the service.

Additionally, a good read about Postfix is - https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-a-postfix-e-mail-server-with-dovecot it will help you along the way of configuring mail accounts.

Another solution would be to get the cPanel droplet which comes with E-mail functionality out of the box.

This tutorial will tell you how to setup a basic mail server and attempts to teach you a bit about the Postfix MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) in the process.
